Exciting Announcement

Thank you for your support, we will announce the results as soon as we can.

We are delighted to announce that CPYE has been chosen by Tesco for a Bags of Help store vote!

Voting will take place in March and April 2018.

During December last year we applied to Tesco for some help to buy a portable, electronic drum kit as it is very difficult to recruit and retain percussionists when drum kits are so bulky, heavy and difficult to transport. The provision of a good quality, portable electronic drum kit and amplifier, owned by the organisation itself, would make life so much easier. We would be able to provide opportunities to more than one percussionist at a time and storage, transport and set-up for rehearsal and for performance would be massively improved.

About Bags of Help

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to local community projects.
Bags of Help offers community groups and projects across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags. The public will now vote in store during March and April on who should receive the £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 awards.
